Finally, something useful about Orkut

I had joined Orkut long time back, just because it was from Google.

You should always be in touch and updated with wat those guys do at Google. They are the current trend setters. No doubt about that.

But i never used it because i was not used to the community networks, i never believed in hi5 or somthing else. My view about them was always of spammers waiting to get a truckload of new email addresses.

It was later when someone else (sorry i wish i could name him/her , but for my memory :( )did some scrappy work, i rose to it. After that it was great fun. Lots of friends whom i knew, lots of them new .. strangers.. the forum stuff and everything.

it was so involving that i dint know i wasted one full week on it. And then I realised that I would waste my entire life there.

So I stopped: Paused, rather, it was later in short bursts that i visited Orkut.

Today something strange happened. One of my old friend came out of no where in my messenger window. we havnt met for last 9 yrs or so. She was lot of questions and thankfully i could answer most of them !

I went to her profile and added her as my fiend searched for her short friendslist and found another one !

The one i had lost a long before (11 yrs ago i suppose), my childhood friend, with whom i used to play in my schooldays and which i believed could have happened only though orkut. I always believed that i would get in touch with her once one day, honge kaamyaab ek din . My eyes had wandered everywhere when i was in Calcutta , everytime i went out, so that one day we will meet again.

Thanks to Orkut.
now i feel Nothing has been so useful to find lost buddies !
So happy today , a dream come true.

Very true indeed Mohan!Even I had the same experience in orkut. Those friends we lost when we changed places,schools.. Ive found them so unexpectedly here in orkut.Everyday I find an old friend. Its a really magnificent network. The communities etc..makes it so easy to locate people...now I have my school mates, college mates, work mates, family members in here in orkut..what more do we need to make this world a smaller place!

he he he .. at the same time Its addictive. Better be careful have seen people yell "thraahi maam" when they are unable to get outta the hole ;-)

But you are correct - good way to meet up with old pals and make new friends.

Keep scrapping :D

Yeah quite true.. Very much addictive. Whilst the fact that it keeps the friends' network updated.
